2007 Foodlife -4- Tokyo Sushi & Leo's Coney Island

One day in Birmingham at Tokyo Sushi.

I always like these kinds of salads served in many Japanese restaurants, though often do I think that they should hold the dressing a little; after a while, the salad gets salty.

I really like Gatsudon, but it is hard to find a good one in United States. The breaded part was too soaky, fell of from the meat, and the eggs were overdone. Why do I still like it? Maybe I just like onions.

Lizz had a Spider Roll with soft shell crab and another roll with pork cutlet. Though I think in general the roll sushi is overpriced not just here but in any Japanese restaurants, I do enjoy it... may mister avocado, the king of calories not go to my thigh... or anywhere.

Sometimes I want to go to Leo's!

As always, I got strawberry milkshake and Lizz got a chocolate one. No whipped cream, please! I like the milkshake at Leo's; they are big and cost only $2.70 plus tax. I was angry when the Birmingham location changing to Greek Boys or whatever got the machine version of the shake and charged over $4.50 for about the same amount of milkshake. And it tasted worse! This location was probably somewhere by Maple and Telegraph... maybe not. You see, I don't drive. I just bug others to drive me around so I can get food.

Lizz got a burger with fries- She NEEDED a burger, she said.

I got Chicken Tender Pita with Honey Mustard. I like seedy mustard and honey dijon a lot. There are times when I really miss this; everything's fine except that it is so hard to eat. I wonder if there's a way I don't have to struggle so much.
